The Dhole, also known as the Asiatic wild dog or Indian wild dog, is a highly social and elusive species of canid native to Asia. Scientifically known as Cuon alpinus, it belongs to the family Canidae. Dholes are characterized by their reddish-brown fur, rounded ears, and distinctive white-tipped tail. They are skilled hunters, often preying on deer, wild boar, and other small to medium-sized mammals. Living in tight-knit packs, they exhibit complex social behaviors and cooperative hunting strategies.
