Real Lizard Sclerotic Ossicle Pair
There are over 6,000 species of extant lizards displaying an array of colors and patterns. They live all over the world and in a wide range of climates, except for Antarctica. They can range wildly in size from the nearly 200 pound Komodo dragon to the exceptionally tiny dwarf gecko which only grows to about half an inch long. Lizards are cold-blooded animals, and to maintain their body temperature and produce Vitamin D, they tend to be most active during the day.
