The Sumatran rhinoceros is the smallest and hairiest of the living rhinoceros species, native to the dense mountain and lowland forests of Sumatra and Borneo. It has a reddish-brown coat and is the only Asian rhino with two horns. Known for being solitary, Sumatran rhinos feed on a variety of plants, including leaves, fruits, and twigs, and are well adapted to surviving in tropical forests.
