The Merino ram is the male of the Merino sheep, renowned worldwide for producing some of the finest and softest wool. These rams are typically medium-sized with a sturdy build and are easily recognized by their prominent, spiraling horns in some strains, although others may be polled (hornless). Merino rams are hardy and adaptable, thriving in a variety of climates while providing high-quality wool. They are also known for their calm temperament, making them valuable in both breeding programs and commercial wool production.
