A Behind the Curtain Look with Sir Indiana Bones

As many are aware, we here at SKELETONS: Museum of Osteology are home to a celebrity whose furry antics have captivated TikTok and the public’s attention all over the globe. His name is Sir Indiana Bones, known around the office as Indy. Indy has been a part of the Skeleton Crew for the last five years, and with each year, his credentials and fame continue to expand exponentially. He has been a feature on many esteemed media outlets, including The Dodo, Good Morning America, the local news, Reddit, and the pages of countless influencers across social media platforms. In all his appearances, Indy usually has a member of the Kitty Committee speak for him and tell his story. Never before has an inside look at how he personally approaches his duties and responsibilities been recorded in his own words. Not until today, that is.  I was granted a look behind the curtain, if you will, straight to the source interview with the cat, the myth, the legend himself: Sir Indiana Bones. 

We started our meeting off in a cozy office that he shares with one of the lead Kitty Committee Members, face-to-face on a blue and white patterned rug. We have worked together for a while, so no introductions were necessary, but I did take the time to explain what was going on. I was met with a couple of tail swishes and a big stretch, which I took to mean he was ready. 

Becca: Thank you so much for meeting with me today. I am honored and excited to get your official reactions and answers to questions I’m sure the public is dying to know. 

Indy: *Blinks* 

Becca: Don’t worry, we can start with some easy ones. You have been a key member of this team for the past five years. In all that time, what would you consider your greatest achievement?

Indy: *Tail flicks. Blinks. Looks up to the window.*

Becca: I see, you would prefer to look for new opportunities. Well in that case, could you describe for me a situation where you felt like your presence had a positive impact on the workplace?

Indy: *Starts to investigate under the desk, weaving in and out of the desk legs*

Becca: Uhh yeah… okay… being able to go where you want does seem to affect you positively… and I guess it makes it fun to try and find you when your fans are requesting a visit. Speaking of your fans, it seems like it can be very stressful sometimes balancing your work time with your personal time. Could you give the readers some idea of how you handle your responsibilities?

Indy: *Jumps on edge of desk. Big yawn. Jumps off desk, meandering to the window. Jumps on window ledge and starts cleaning himself.*

Becca: Right, right you work before play. Self care seems to be a very important part of your daily routine as well, which I think we can all use as a good reminder. Okay, just a few more questions; I don’t want to take up too much of your time. Where do you see yourself in five years? Any big plans?

Indy: *Scratches at collar. Shakes head. Proceeds to clean tail.*

Becca: Oh it’s nice to know that you feel like you are in a good place and don’t foresee much changing. I like that you keep your goals achievable. Bear with me on this one I just have to ask, what is your opinion on catnip?

Indy: *Stops cleaning. Stares intently at me for a few seconds before sniffing the windowsill and turning into a full loaf.*

Becca: That is quite the opinion! I hope the readers don’t take it lightly! Alright, last question and then I will let you get back to work. Who is your work bestie? It’s okay, you can tell me. I’m sure no one’s feelings will be hurt.

Indy: *Turns to window and fully ignores.*

Becca: Uhm, yeah, well.. Thanks again. I know these are the answers the readers are dying to know and I hope I didn’t take up too much of your time today.

Indy: *Utter focus on something outside the window.”

At this point, I let myself out of the office and left Indy to his very important duties.
